scripture saturday: rain down.

we stayed in our cars for a good while. it was pouring down HARD. the raindrops sounded almost like hail on my windshield and we could not see anything through the windows.
then, it was hail. hard enough to feel like my windshield was going to break any moment. feared crept up, debated going home instead. we waited.

when the hail stopped, we all made a mad dash inside.
and as the storm grew louder, our voices grew even louder then.
our hands were lifted, our hearts in an offering.

and in that moment, our voices in unison with the enormous raindrops hitting the windows, the Lord made His presence known.

even in the storm, no matter how ugly, how deep the howling of the wind, your heart as it seeks the Lord will always find His righteousness and salvation.
because He is faithful to those that draw near to His heart.

may you have a weekend full of close moments with the Lord.

has the Lord not been good?
 absolutely He has.
always in every day of my life His hand has been present, so I will dance for His name and be filled with joy.

scripture saturday: everlasting Word.

we live in a world where everything runs out, where things have a limit before they run out.
God's word however does not. It is the truth that upholds us and restores us.

In it we find peace, truth and hope.
Find a cozy place, open up the Word and dive in. It's going to be beautiful, I promise.

scripture saturday : you're not forsaken.

sometimes when we look at things in hindsight, they seem more clear don't they? sometimes we can say, oh i see how that makes sense now, or i see why that happened.
looking at my life in hindsight, i can see one simple truth: i have never been forsaken by the Lord. in my darkest hour where my life didn't matter anymore. where i wanted out. He did not forsake me.
and He will not forsake you friend. He told His disciples, 'Take courage, it is I. Do not be afraid.'

Who is He that says, It is I? He is the risen Lamb that has conquered death. that has taken away death's sting and replaced it with an everlasting love that never ends. Becky shared such a beautiful song on her blog, and i have been playing it on repeat. what a wonderful truth to know, we will never  walk this road alone. We will never be forsaken.

scripture saturday: He can.

source/edited by me

i can't tell you how many times, i limit God, His power, His grace, and mercy. in my finite mind, there is a limit to what can be done by human hands and sadly when life faces me with dreams that seem unreachable, or prayers that seem so big, i limit Him.
I forget this is the God who holds the universe in the palm of His hand. The God who commands the moon when to set and when to rise. The everlasting and sovereign Lord who loves me more than I could ever fathom. In Him, in Him alone that can do greater things that I could ever imagine in this lifetime, i place my trust which i admit is feeble at times, but time and time again i see in my life and in the life of others He's done incredible and what seemed impossible.
may today we remember that we serve an almighty, powerful, omnipotent God who does great things for His glory and for the love towards us, His children.

scripture saturday: be strong and courageous.

life is rough sometimes dear friend. the waves will crash upon your little boat and might rock ferociously, but do not be afraid, do not discourage. There is someone bigger, mightier, wiser before you.
Cling on to Him, He will get you through to calmer seas. He has your back, don't ever doubt it.
He's in your corner batting for you.

ps. if you would please, have my family in your prayers including my parents and sisters. we are about to embark on a journey that won't be easy (more about it another time) but is for the good of His kingdom.
