five to ten diaper changes a day. spit up milk stains on my shirts. loading, unloading strollers as the biggest pain in the butt. no, no wait having to pack a diaper bag even to go for a quick store run. that was probably it.
but then, the baby fat rolls on their arms and legs. their sweet baby scent that i loved to inhale. the innocent and most beautiful smile ever for their momma. their coo's and sweet babbling from their crib, signaling a new day. the awkward and unsure first steps that filled my heart with excitement. their eyes locked with mine during feeding time.
they are growing up so fast. so, so fast. they're in a different season, and while i am enjoying their wittiness, their testing of boundaries, their imagination running wild. i'd give anything to hold their little feet to my mouth and blow raspberries.
i guess i could do that now the same. but who knows if their feet might be stinkier than i bargained for. my sweet little monkeys are my pride and joy.
for now, i have my sweet little niece Suri to satisfy that silly fever. i love when this little princess comes to visit.
do any of you get baby fever every now and then?

Leah, they are sooo wonderful (your kids!) My husband and I have officially come to the same point where we're both ready to add to our family. I'm so excited and scared, I can't even tell you...Our son (Jayden) is 8 so we both very much enjoy the "grown up" relationship we enjoy with Jay, but miss those baby and toddler moments too!!
Yes! Whenever there is a calm, and we have a really good day, I'm like aww, we should do this again! thankfully reality usually comes back around pretty quick to knock some sense into me again ;) just think though, if you do have another baby you'd have 3 built in helpers this time :D
you nailed it. I think for me it took until my 3rd baby to really truly enjoy all those little moments!
My sweet babies are 16, 12, and 9. I STILL get baby fever. They are my loves and they have taught me true love.
ahh your little kiddos are so cute!! do i get b aby fever every now and then and then I think man how much my life will change and one day I will be more ready for that change but God's timing
Oh yes! Baby fever is in full swing. And Walker is only 15 months old!! He still has those chunky legs and cheeks...so that's good. It all happened when he stood up for the first time.
Your kids are so adorable. And fun that you have baby Suri. You can get all that love and cuddles from her and then send her back to Mom for the diapers and feedings!
Your children are soooo cute! As is that sweet little niece of yours!
i'm still in the "blowing rasberries" stage...so no baby fever for me quite yet :)
o i remember baby fever. was not that long ago for me...
