i'll be the first to stay that i tend to stay safe when it comes to style.
pattern mixing is something that i would not just come up with on my own.
i mean, i don't think i would just walk into the mall and pick up contrasting patterns and come up with an outfit.
but i have become kind of obsessed with polka dots and stripes.
it's such a structured yet fun look, that seems so hassle free to pull off.
plus if i go with the layering, i can always just remove one of the layers if i become too self conscious.
kinda genius, no?

i'm right there with you, friend! i'm not the most adventurous, ESPECIALLY when it comes to patterns. i wore polka dots for the FIRST time since i was a kid this past weekend! i have three or four striped shirts and that's it. i'm a solid color person.
with that said, i LOVE looking at great photos (such as the ones shown above) of ladies that have successfully paired on different kinds of patterns. one day i'll be brave enough :)
