That sounds weird, huh?
No special toothbrush or mouthwash required for this type of care, simply prayer cards.
You see, I'm referring to taking care of the use of my tongue. Words hurt, and I'll admit, I'm not always slow to speak. I'm impatient and instead of removing myself from the situation emotionally for a moment to collect myself, i'll lash out. sounds ugly. it is.
Amanda has a beautiful prayer dare series on her blog that focuses on an area of our lives each month. This month, it was to focus on the influence our words have, a better use of our tongue.
So far guys, these first few days in, it's been such an encouragement to have my prayer cards with me reminding me to watch my words. I start off reading them in the morning and throughout the day. it's helped a lot. repeating that prayer during my day asking God to help me be better with my words.
I got little people running around that need to be influenced positively, not be taught that yelling when impatient is the only answer.
And I got my heart that needs to cleansing daily to reflect Jesus through and through.
